| Starting on the Harness. I ended up with 2 painless performance wiring harnesses. both were used off of other TBI hot rod cars, so I had to clean them up and get all the wires i needed in one. Dynamic EFI has great wiring diagrams on there site. |
| arb engine before I start. |
| Randy's guide off the efi google group. This was the basic instruction book. |
| first and easiest thing to do was install a return line. I screwed up and made it a 3/8" barb, when the hose going to it is actually 5/16". No biggy, just needed to warm up the hose in hot water and stretched it on in the end. |
| I had an exhaust shop drill in and weld bungs for the 02 sensors. I guess my manny headers were supposed to come with collectors with an o2 bung installed, but that got left out. for $50, I had both installed. It took him an hour. the narrow band that runs the efi is up just past the driver side header flange. the wide band 02 is right on passenger side where the 2 exhausts come together. |

| started making up my wiring for the ECU. there are a few accessories that needing. power, so I installed a bus bar for both 12+ on ignition, and ground. the red item is the wideband 02 from PLX it also comes with a bluetooth dongle. The SGI-5 is the vss sensor. both those are on ign. power, as well as heated o2. |
| wire loom from under the passenger seat to the dash. the ALDLconnector was too short, so I just extended the check engine light wires, and left the ALDL connector with the ecu.. this has a ground wire, a batt wire, and a ign wire as well as the phone cord for the WUB serial cord. |
| screwed the ESC here. |
| Check engine light had a nice spot to install it in the dash. |
| Getting the wiring harness installed. and trying to keep the wires clean and organized was a challenge that I am not sure how well I succeeded |
| I did label everything I could possibly think of. |
| wires coming from a few different directions. Some go into the harness. some do not. |
| all in place under the seat. |
| wires going to under the seat |
| wide band o2 from the left |
| drivers side had wires going for the vss sensor, heated 02 sensor, fuel pump relays and power. |
| CTS sensor, wire going down to starter for crank sense. |
| more of the vss sensor wiring and the o2, and the fuel pumps |
| you can see the air cleaner clearance. (needs to go up higher), and the map sensor in foreground. |
| went with a spectre air intake system. height was a problem and I ended up buying a 1.5" spacer to get it as close to the engine lid as I could, so I had room for the hose to clear the valve covers. |
| I decided since I do use my coach in sub zero temps a IAT sensor was not a bad idea to install. Drilled out and easily tapped the aluminum. |
| installed |
| I am not a fan of K+N air filters. I bought a spectre. the hose I had before when I was trying to get a cold air intake on the carb to work. I needed to buy the short aluminum tube to go from the hose to the air filter. |
| air filter on engine. tube off to side barely clears the valve cover. |
| My 75 has the air compressor and the air tank in the area I would of preferred to put a different more boxed air cleaner. |
| fits. works, but is a little loud. |
| knock sensor to go in the water plug. Problem on this 455 is the oil lines are in the way, as well as the lower fan shroud bracket. |
| just my luck the bottom one does not fit the hole(bought off ebay), upper one fits fine bought from o'reilies later. |
| I do not have a complete photo. ended up cutting the fan shroud bracket. rebending the oil cooler lines, and fabricating a new mount to hold the oil cooler lines and starter cable further away from engine block so you can plug the connector on the knock sensor. |
| Marked the pully. I also turned engine to zero on the timing mark. |
| swap out the distributor being super careful with where timing is and spark plug wires. |
| bent a 1/4" threaded rod for the air cleaner. |
| remove the mechanical fuel pump, and is install a plate. |
| using two fuel pumps. one for each tank. I could not figure out how to fit them the way I liked on the outside frame rail, so I ended up installing underneath with an aluminum mount. I isolated the mount from the frame with some rubber washers, but then i had to install a ground jumper. I will have to clean up that ground as part of my yearly checks. |
| one relay is a 5 pole that will switch between tanks using the existing selector switch on the dash. the other is the power relay. I ran a dedicated 12awg wire for power to the pumps and the ecm will trigger the relay. |
| installed. I used a 5' metal line to run along the frame up to the engine, where it transitions back to rubber efi hose. |
| fuel pressure sender installed on aluminum bracket. |
| Manny bracket showed some leak points on gasket. I installed with plenty of RTV |
| ready to bolt up TBI |

| making the throttle bracket. I bent an aluminum flat, and pop riveted the original throttle cable holder to it. |
| front PVC hose wanted to leak, not after I got the zip tie on it. |
| I mounted the tablet here. about the only place it is not blocking anything, but it is hard to look down and see. I may have to figure out how to mount it higher and either to right or left. but this does work. |
| Started right up. |
| I think this is one of the final pictures. I had some drivibilty |
on the tuning. But working on getting the issues dialed in. Very happy with this, but was a bit more work then expected. I would recommend to others to buy a more complete wiring harness kit.
why not use the original air cleaner?
